MISSION

OUTREACH

MINISTRY

We are called through our baptism to continue Christ’s ministry of showing love to the world. We are called to be “complete” in showing love to all persons. Through our service to others we grow as individuals and as a community as we grow as Disciples of Christ.

Mission Outreach Ministry

We are called through our baptism to continue Christ’s ministry of showing love to the world. We are called to be “complete” in showing love to all persons.
Through our service to others we grow as individuals and as a community as we grow as Disciples of Christ.
The outreach ministries include missions, health and welfare, Christian unity and interreligious concerns, church and society issues, religion and race, and status and role of women.
In the past, we have served others by:
  • Providing food to our community via our food pantry.
  • Giving gifts and our time to Pennsylvania Nursing Home and other long-term care facilities.
  • Giving items and worked with Bethlehem Community Center’s clothes and food pantry.
  • Hosted the Tarrant Churches Together “Freedom School” for three years.
  • Serving as a Community Partner with VanZandt Guinn Elementary School.
As we continue to serve our children, our congregation, and our community, we have planned the following:

College Care Ministry.

Feed the homeless.

Re-open Food Pantry.

Plan special says for children in the church and community.

Write letters to legislators specifying policy changes in human rights.

Become involved in Prison Ministry.

Volunteer on MLK Day of Service.

Support other ministries such as United Methodist Committee on Relief, Meals on Wheels, etc. with our money and time.
