Our Lenton Season

Lent is a period of preparation before celebrating the Lord’s Resurrection at Easter.

What is Lent?

  • Lent is the Christian season of preparation before Easter.
  • The Lenten season is a time when many Christians observe a period of fasting, repentance, moderation, self-denial and spiritual discipline.
  • The purpose is to set aside time for reflection on Jesus Christ—his love for us demonstrated by His birth, suffering, his sacrifice, his life, death, burial, and resurrection.
  • This Lenten study will focus on God’s love for us to confirm and dispel any doubts we may have.

  • The lessons are designed to provide divine absolute proof so we will know without a doubt that He loves us in spite of ourselves.

  • As we study the next six weeks, take time to remember, reflect appreciate the grace, mercy and unwavering love God has for us.

  • It is our prayer that this study will encourage your spiritual growth, faith, trust, and dedication to God and others in love.

  • God’s love is so great for us, He never stops pursuing us, wherever we are He is there waiting for us to turn to Him in complete submission.

  • King David realized this and pinned his thoughts about God’s constant presence in his life in Psalms 139.

  • Please find time to read this passage. (*Rev. Dr. Demetrius K. Williams).
